How many days should you spend in Nusa Penida?

If you want to see the entire island and don’t want to rush your stay, you should spend 2 or 3 days on the island. However, it is doable in a day! When you’re in Bali, you can get the speedboat from Sanur to Nusa Penida in the morning and go back to Bali in the afternoon.

How to get to Nusa Penida?

The speedboat is the easiest way to go to Nusa Penida. If you’re looking for a cheaper way, you can also take the public ferry from Padang Bai. It’s more than an hour drive from Denpasar, but the advantage is that you can bring your own scooter to Nusa Penida. But we only recommend this option if you have the time. Because the Ferry does not have a set schedule and leaves daily between 11 am – 1 pm.

How to get around on the island?

By motorbike
Driving around on a motorbike the island is very nice, you get to see the beautiful senary around you and most of the roads are good. But there are some very bumpy and bad roads, for example the one to Broken beach and Angel’s Billabong are broken and hard to drive on. So only drive in Nusa Penida when you’re an experienced and confident motorbike driver!

If you don’t want to drive around the island on a motorbike yourself, there’s also an option to rent a private car who will drive you around the island. A car fits up to 5 people.
