A Journey to Remember

Ease into the day with a relaxed breakfast before our friendly local guide picks you up anytime between 9:00 AM and noon , whenever you’re ready to start your adventure.

We’ll begin with a peaceful boat ride along the river, a perfect warm-up before a gentle hike through lush rubber plantations. Before long, you’ll reach the border of Gunung Leuser National Park, where the real jungle experience begins.

As you step into the rainforest, stay alert, you may catch sight of semi-wild orangutans, sometimes with their playful young ones swinging high above. There are no fences or cages here, just wildlife living freely in their natural home. These are the moments that make this journey truly unforgettable.

After a refreshing stop to enjoy some tropical fruits, we’ll continue deeper into the forest. Along the way, you might come across long-tailed macaques, pig-tailed macaques, or the quirky Thomas Leaf Monkeys, famous for their unique expressions and hairstyles!

Lunch is served jungle-style, surrounded by the sounds of birds and rustling leaves. Afterward, we keep exploring, maybe spotting monitor lizards or more curious monkeys leaping through the canopy.

To end the day with a thrill, hop on the “jungle taxi” a traditional tube raft that carries you down the Bohorok River back to Bukit Lawang. It’s part relaxation, part adventure, and the perfect way to cool off after your trek.

When you return, your guide will take you back to your guesthouse, tired, happy, and filled with incredible memories of Sumatra’s untamed rainforest.
